Based in Bogotá, Marte will lead the group’s cargo commercial strategy across an expanded regional organization integrating South America, Central America, and the Caribbean under unified leadership.

The new regional structure encompasses direct operations in Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Ecuador, Panama, Peru, the Dutch Caribbean, Suriname, Guyana, and Barbados, alongside other Central American markets served through commercial partners.
During the first half of 2026, the carrier transported over 35,000 tons of export cargo from the region through its hubs at Paris-Charles de Gaulle and Amsterdam-Schiphol, representing a 4% growth compared to the same period in the previous year. Perishable goods, including flowers, fruits, and vegetables, account for 64% of the regional cargo portfolio.

With nearly two decades of experience within the Air France-KLM Group, Arturo Marte previously served as Global Director of Commercial Strategy and Performance Management in Amsterdam, as well as Commercial Director for the United Kingdom and Ireland.
