The direct service will operate three times per week on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays using 50-seat Embraer ERJ-145 regional jet aircraft. The non-stop service currently stands as the sole international route on SATENA‘s active flight schedule, as the airline works to expand regional connectivity beyond Colombian borders.
According to published flight timetables, outbound services will depart Monteria‘s Los Garzones Airport (MTR) at 09:55 local time, arriving at Panama City‘s Tocumen International Airport (PTY) at 10:59. The non-stop connection allows passengers traveling from northern Colombia to bypass layovers and transfer times at domestic hub airports such as Bogota or Medellin. The direct flight targets business travelers, traders, and vacationers, while offering streamlined access to international destinations served through Tocumen International Airport. Additionally, local officials expect the route to drive incoming international tourism into Cordoba and neighboring areas along the Colombian Caribbean coast.
