During this nearly three-week operational hiatus, all scheduled flights on the transatlantic corridor will remain suspended. ITA Airways has instructed passengers holding reservations during the affected travel window to contact customer service or their travel agencies to review available rebooking options, itinerary modifications, or refund policies in accordance with airline fare rules.
The engineering and resurfacing projects at Ezeiza International Airport are part of an ongoing infrastructure improvement program managed by Argentine aviation authorities to upgrade runway capacity and airfield safety standards. Operational constraints established during the construction window have forced multiple international airlines to adjust their flight schedules, alter arrival and departure times, or temporarily consolidate transatlantic capacity.

Buenos Aires represents one of ITA Airways‘s core long-haul destinations across South America, linking the Argentine capital with the airline’s primary operational hub in Rome. The carrier confirmed that regular operations between Italy and Argentina will resume immediately following the completion of the airport maintenance activities, contingent upon official operational clearance from local aviation authorities.
