To support regional air mobility and relieve operational pressure on Panamanian air navigation services, Aerocivil designated seven key Colombian airports as strategic alternates. The designated receiving facilities include Gustavo Rojas Pinilla International Airport in San Andrés, Rafael Núñez International Airport in Cartagena, Ernesto Cortissoz International Airport in Barranquilla, Simón Bolívar International Airport in Santa Marta, Alfonso Bonilla Aragón International Airport in Cali, José María Córdova International Airport in Rionegro, and Los Garzones International Airport in Montería.

Colombian officials confirmed that swift action by Air Traffic Control (ATC) personnel, ground support crews, and technical service units ensured that flight re-routing procedures were executed safely in compliance with international operational safety standards. Additionally, the Colombian Government extended its official solidarity to the people and aviation authorities of Panama, offering technical expertise and logistics assistance throughout the emergency recovery period.
