Sebastian Ponce, Chief Revenue Officer at Transat, highlighted that the summer 2027 network aims to diversify transatlantic destination choices and deliver added scheduling flexibility. Beyond Europe, the airline will extend two popular Caribbean routes into year-round operation with weekly summer departures: Québec City to Puerto Plata (POP) in the Dominican Republic, and Montréal to Sint Maarten (SXM). The airline’s ongoing domestic codeshare and interline partnership with Porter Airlines will feed connecting regional passengers across Canada directly into these transatlantic departure banks.
