Qatar Airways Confirms Historic Bogotá and Caracas Flights.Qatar Airways has officially confirmed its expansion in Latin America with the launch of new flight operations to Bogotá and Caracas, beginning on 22 July 2026. The new route represents a historic milestone for regional aviation, as the airline will become the first Gulf carrier to operate flights to Venezuela and the first airline to directly connect the Middle East with both Bogotá and Caracas. The expansion also reinforces the company’s commitment to strengthening global connectivity to and from Latin America.

The airline will operate two weekly flights, every Wednesday and Sunday, linking Doha with Bogotá before continuing to Caracas. The schedule has been strategically designed to provide efficient connections through Hamad International Airport to key markets across Asia, the Middle East, and Oceania, including Australia, China, Japan, Lebanon, South Korea, and the United Arab Emirates. Flight QR783 will depart Doha at 07:30 and arrive in Bogotá at 16:05, before continuing to Caracas with an arrival scheduled for 20:40. The return flight will depart the Venezuelan capital at 22:40 and land in Doha the following day at 19:55.

With the addition of Bogotá and Caracas, Qatar Airways expands its network in the Americas to 16 destinations, strengthening its presence in the region and enhancing links between South America and the Middle East. The airline began serving South America in 2010 with flights to São Paulo and has since maintained a growth strategy focused on strategic international markets. The launch of these new routes is expected to boost tourism, corporate travel, and cargo operations while creating new commercial opportunities between Latin America and Asia through faster and more efficient connectivity options.
