JetSMART Founder and CEO Estuardo Ortiz said the recognition highlights the commitment of the airline’s employees to delivering reliable, punctual service aboard its fleet of Airbus A320 and A321 aircraft. The carrier has also continued to expand its commercial offering through new partnerships, including the recent integration that allows members of American Airlines’ AAdvantage® loyalty program to redeem miles on any JetSMART domestic or international flight across South America.
The airline has also strengthened its position in the regional market by becoming the third-largest airline operator in South America. According to CH-Aviation and YAFA, JetSMART operates the largest and youngest ultra-low-cost fleet in the region, with 49 next-generation aircraft. In Chile, the airline has also led key service quality indicators published by the Civil Aviation Board (JAC) and has been recognized as one of the most punctual airlines in both Chile and Argentina.
