Curaçao strengthens its position as a favorite destination for Colombian travelers. Curaçao welcomed more than 28,800 Colombian visitors during the first half of 2026, driven by improved air connectivity, its cultural offering, and the ease of traveling to the Caribbean island.

Curaçao continues to gain popularity among Colombian travelers during the mid-year vacation period. Between January and June 2026, the island received 28,817 visitors from Colombia, making the country its third-largest source market and accounting for 7% of total international arrivals. In June alone, 7,144 Colombians visited Curaçao, representing a 24% increase compared with the same month in 2025.

One of the main factors behind this growth is improved air connectivity. Colombian travelers currently have nonstop options from Bogotá with Avianca, Wingo, and Copa Airlines; from Medellín with Wingo and Z Air; and from Barranquilla with Z Air. Between June and August, Copa Airlines also increased its frequencies to the island to meet rising demand. Curaçao’s appeal also extends beyond its beaches, with a multicultural society bringing together more than 55 nationalities and a strong presence of the Spanish language.

The island also stands out for its accessible nature experiences. Curaçao has more than 70 diving and snorkeling sites that can be reached directly from the coastline, allowing visitors to explore its reefs without necessarily taking boat excursions. The destination also offers Willemstad, a UNESCO World Heritage Site known for its colorful architecture, particularly around Handelskade, as well as a growing selection of restaurants, shops, and cultural attractions.

The destination’s event calendar is another attraction during the second half of 2026. The Curaçao North Sea Jazz Festival will take place from September 3 to 5, featuring international artists across multiple genres. Other highlights include a concert by Romeo Santos and Prince Royce on November 7 and the KLM Curaçao Marathon, scheduled for November 28 and 29 with 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and full-marathon distances.

For Colombian travelers, Curaçao also offers a relatively straightforward entry process. A visa is not required for tourist stays, although visitors must have a valid passport and complete the free Digital Immigration Card. Travelers arriving from Latin America must also present a valid yellow fever vaccination certificate. With direct air connectivity, cultural attractions, nature-based activities, and accessible travel requirements, Curaçao continues to strengthen its position as a growing international destination for Colombian travelers.
