Edelweiss amplía sus vuelos para otoño e invierno

Edelweiss Expands Autumn and Winter Flight Schedule. Swiss carrier Edelweiss is expanding its flight program for the 2026/27 autumn-winter season, adding capacity across the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands, South Africa, the Indian Ocean, and Finnish Lapland. The airline is introducing higher frequencies and deploying larger aircraft to meet surge demand during autumn breaks, Christmas, New Year, and winter sports holidays.

Throughout October, key leisure destinations will see widebody aircraft deployments. Gran Canaria will be served by Airbus A340s on Fridays in October and Sundays through mid-November, while Tenerife and Rhodes will also see A340 operations. An additional flight to Rhodes is scheduled for October 30. For Crete, Saturday services to Heraklion will upgrade from A320s to Airbus A350s, with the season extended into early December. Mallorca will also receive additional flights and increased seat capacity throughout October.

Long-haul festive travel is also being reinforced. Cape Town will gain an extra weekly flight on Mondays from December 14, 2026, to January 11, 2027. Malé (Maldives) will see additional Sunday flights between December 20 and January 10, while Seychelles and Mauritius will receive extra Friday frequencies from December 18 to January 8. Furthermore, the airline plans to boost connections to Finnish Lapland during the winter sports season to cater to winter holidaymakers.
