LATAM unirá Salvador y Santiago

LATAM to Connect Salvador and Santiago with Direct Flights. LATAM Airlines Brasil has announced a new direct international route connecting Salvador da Bahia and Santiago, Chile, set to launch on January 3, 2027. The new non-stop connection will shave approximately three hours off current travel times by eliminating layovers between the two destinations.

Flight Schedule and Aircraft Details

Initially operating three weekly frequencies during the peak summer season, flights will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft featuring Premium Economy and Economy cabins. Premium Economy passengers will enjoy a blocked middle seat, extra legroom, expanded recline, and dedicated overhead storage. Both cabins will have access to the LATAM Play inflight entertainment platform.

  • ✈ Salvador (SSA) to Santiago (SCL): Departs Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 9:15 PM, arriving in Santiago at 3:00 AM the following day.

  • ✈ Santiago (SCL) to Salvador (SSA): Departs Mondays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 4:30 AM, arriving in Salvador at 10:00 AM.

Aline Mafra, Sales and Marketing Director at LATAM Brasil, highlighted that the route builds on LATAM’s broader international growth strategy across Northeastern Brazil. For the 2026/2027 summer season, LATAM will also introduce:

  • Natal – Buenos Aires (EZE): 3 weekly frequencies.

  • Maceió – Buenos Aires (EZE): 3 weekly frequencies.

  • Recife – Buenos Aires (EZE): Increased from 1 to 4 weekly frequencies.

  • Fortaleza – Lisbon: Expanded to 5 weekly flights between November 2026 and March 2027.

Tickets for the new Salvador–Santiago service go on sale starting August 29 via LATAM’s official sales channels.
