Delta Air Lines Expands European Network with New Routes from Boston and Detroit. Delta Air Lines is preparing a major expansion of its service to Europe for 2027 with the launch of new non-stop routes from Boston and Detroit, alongside an extension of its transatlantic seasonal operations. The carrier will introduce flights connecting Boston to Venice and Detroit to Athens, while also launching its direct link between Austin and Paris.

The Boston–Venice service will launch on May 7, 2027, operating four times weekly through October 29. The route will be served using Airbus A330-300 aircraft featuring Delta One, Delta Premium Select, Delta Comfort, and Delta Main cabin options. Venice will become Delta Air Lines‘ 13th long-haul exclusive summer destination from Boston and its 12th in continental Europe. Additionally, the carrier’s Boston–Milan route will increase to daily service throughout 2027.
Meanwhile, Delta Air Lines will inaugurate its Detroit–Athens route on June 8, 2027, offering three weekly flights through October 28. Operated with Airbus A330-200 aircraft, the flight will feature the same four cabin options. Athens will mark Delta Air Lines‘ 12th long-haul exclusive summer destination out of Detroit and its seventh in continental Europe.

These additions complement the daily non-stop service between Austin and Paris, launching March 27, 2027, using Airbus A330-900neo aircraft. As the first non-stop connection between both cities, the route will provide seamless connections to nearly 70 destinations across Europe, India, and Africa through Delta Air Lines‘ partnership with Air France-KLM. This expansion aims to deliver enhanced schedule flexibility for international travelers across all seasons.
