The inauguration of the airline’s booth was attended by Karina Milei, Secretary General of the Presidency; Diego Santilli, Chief of the Cabinet of Ministers; Guillermo Ignacio Devitt, Deputy Chief of Cabinet; Daniel Scioli, Secretary of Tourism, Environment, and Sports; and Fabián Lombardo, President of Aerolíneas Argentinas. Throughout the four-day event, the carrier will maintain a dedicated space for meetings with passengers, tour operators, travel agencies, and industry leaders.
“FIT is one of the main gathering points for the entire industry and an opportunity to highlight the work we have been doing to support tourism development. We arrive at this edition with a summer schedule that adds new destinations, reinforces strategic markets, and expands travel options both within Argentina and abroad,” stated Lombardo.
For January 2027, Aerolíneas Argentinas projects offering 1,508,834 total seats, marking a 13% increase compared to January 2026. This growth is driven by a 13% capacity increase in the domestic market and a 16% expansion in regional operations. Major network additions include Curaçao and Cartagena. Service to Curaçao will launch on January 2 with four weekly frequencies—two non-stop and two via Aruba. Meanwhile, Cartagena will feature five weekly frequencies starting January 1.
The carrier will also add a new Córdoba–Cabo Frio route starting December 26 with two weekly flights, complementing existing service to the Brazilian leisure destination from Buenos Aires and Rosario. Brazil will play a prominent role during the summer season. Florianópolis will reach 36 weekly frequencies from Buenos Aires, seven from Córdoba, seven from Rosario, and four each from Tucumán and Salta. Rio de Janeiro will feature 40 weekly frequencies from Buenos Aires, alongside flights from Córdoba and Rosario. The seasonal schedule also includes connections to São Paulo, Salvador da Bahia, Porto Seguro, Porto Alegre, and Curitiba.
