The carrier, a member of Star Alliance and part of the Abra Group, highlighted its growing operational footprint in Argentina, where it now operates more than 40 weekly frequencies out of Buenos Aires and Córdoba. The airline presented strong passenger traffic metrics reflecting robust demand across its southern routes. After transporting over 691,000 passengers across 4,131 flights in 2025, Avianca carried more than 387,000 passengers during the first half of 2026 alone, marking a 25% year-over-year increase compared to the same period in 2025. David Alemán, Avianca‘s Sales Director for Colombia and South America, emphasized that the carrier’s presence at FIT underscores its commitment to expanding direct and one-stop global connectivity for the Argentine travel market.

In addition to network capacity, Avianca highlighted recent product enhancements across its cabin classes. On international services within the Americas exceeding three and a half hours, all standard fares include a 10 kg carry-on bag and complimentary hot meal and beverage service. Onboard technology upgrades continue with the progressive rollout of fleet-wide Wi-Fi alongside an interactive inflight entertainment platform offering up to 800 titles on long-haul operations. Premium passengers currently experience Business Class Americas on regional routes and INSIGNIA by Avianca aboard Boeing 787 widebody aircraft serving transatlantic destinations and the high-density Bogotá–New York corridor.
