LATAM Begins Inducting First Embraer E195-E2 to Expand Domestic Reach Across Brazil. LATAM Airlines Group and Brazilian aerospace manufacturer Embraer have officially marked the start of deliveries for the airline group’s first Embraer E195-E2. The next-generation regional jetliner will be operated by the carrier’s domestic affiliate, LATAM Airlines Brasil, as part of a major fleet transaction announced in September 2025. The finalized purchase agreement includes 24 firm aircraft orders alongside 50 purchase options, representing a significant strategic investment in operational agility and domestic market penetration.

Under the agreed delivery pipeline, the carrier expects to receive the first batch of 12 aircraft by the end of 2026, while the remaining 12 firm units are scheduled for progressive delivery throughout 2027. The introduction of this fuel-efficient model supports LATAM’s steady domestic expansion across Brazil, where the airline has scaled its commercial footprint from serving 44 regional destinations six years ago to maintaining an active presence across 63 airports today.

Roberto Alvo, Chief Executive Officer of LATAM Airlines Group, emphasized that the E195-E2 provides the group with a flexible platform to serve secondary markets with varying traffic densities, connecting mid-sized regional cities while maintaining a high standard of passenger service. Meanwhile, Francisco Gomes Neto, President and CEO of Embraer, highlighted the aircraft’s strong operational performance, superior fuel efficiency, and passenger cabin comfort, citing them as essential assets for establishing sustainable regional connections.

Commercial flight operations with the E195-E2 are scheduled to commence between November 2026 and March 2027. During the initial operational stage, the first 14 delivered airframes will be assigned across 42 domestic routes. This deployment includes eight new flight connections and four brand-new destinations in the carrier’s route map: Cabo Frio and Macaé in Rio de Janeiro state, Ji-Paraná in Rondônia, and Rondonópolis in Mato Grosso. Through these aircraft inductions, LATAM Airlines Brasil is set to build the largest domestic route network in its history, while actively assessing the feasibility of adding up to 18 additional regional destinations in 2027 to strengthen connecting traffic across its primary Brazilian hubs.
