Throughout this period, Congonhas has witnessed defining moments in LATAM’s trajectory, including the 1998 flyover of an Airbus A330, a milestone that symbolized the airline’s international ambitions. Currently, nearly half of LATAM’s domestic destinations in Brazil—27 out of 60—are directly connected from this airport. Moreover, the scale of its operations reflects its relevance: the airline has carried more than 196 million passengers in 898,000 flights from Congonhas in this century alone, while in 2025 it accounted for 44% of total passenger traffic, averaging 110 daily departures.

At the same time, LATAM’s presence at Congonhas stands out for its operational efficiency, supported by a daily flow of approximately 55 aircraft from the Airbus A320 family and a workforce of nearly 2,000 employees. Therefore, the airline not only consolidates its position as a backbone of Brazil’s air transport network but also reinforces its contribution to national development. Ultimately, its long-standing partnership with Congonhas continues to drive connectivity, competitiveness, and growth across the Brazilian aviation sector.
