Airline executives highlighted that the new connection not only expands leisure travel opportunities, but also improves connectivity for passengers traveling throughout JetBlue’s broader North American network. Milan becomes an important addition to the airline’s European map, connecting two globally recognized cities known for innovation, education, culture and business. In Italy, officials welcomed JetBlue’s arrival as a strong sign of confidence in the Milan market and in the growing tourism and economic ties between Italy and the United States. The new route is also expected to support stronger collaboration between the Lombardy region and Massachusetts in sectors such as aerospace, life sciences and higher education.
