JetBlue Plans to Launch Flights Between Fort Lauderdale and Caracas. JetBlue Airways has announced its intention to launch nonstop flights between Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía, marking the airline’s first-ever service to Venezuela. The proposed Fort Lauderdale–Caracas route remains subject to government approval and the completion of all regulatory requirements necessary to operate in the country. According to the airline, flights are expected to begin before the end of the year, with tickets set to go on sale in the coming months.

The new service will further strengthen JetBlue’s presence in South Florida, particularly in Fort Lauderdale, one of the carrier’s key gateways to Latin America and the Caribbean. The route is expected to serve strong demand from travelers visiting friends and relatives, driven by the large Venezuelan community living in South Florida. Dave Jehn, JetBlue’s Vice President of Network Planning and Airline Partnerships, stated that the airline sees significant growth opportunities in the region while providing customers with competitive fares and enhanced connectivity options.

JetBlue plans to operate the Caracas route with Airbus A320 aircraft featuring the airline’s signature onboard products, including free and unlimited Fly-Fi internet, seatback entertainment at every seat, and complimentary snacks and beverages. The new service will also support JetBlue’s continued expansion in Fort Lauderdale, where the airline recently unveiled its largest schedule ever, adding new destinations and increasing frequencies across the United States, Latin America, and the Caribbean. With nearly 130 daily departures expected during the summer season, Fort Lauderdale continues to solidify its position as one of JetBlue’s most important hubs.
