Avianca refuerza ruta Guatemala y San Francisco

Avianca Resumes Seasonal Guatemala–San Francisco Nonstop Route. Avianca will resume seasonal operations on its route between Guatemala City and San Francisco International Airport for the 2026/27 winter season. The direct connection will operate from December 2, 2026, through January 31, 2027, featuring four weekly flights to boost air connectivity between Guatemala and the U.S. West Coast during peak holiday travel.

The flights will be operated using Airbus A320neo aircraft, according to the carrier’s schedule. This seasonal service complements

  • ✈ Flight AV504 will depart La Aurora International Airport in Guatemala City at 19:30, arriving in San Francisco at 23:40.
  • ✈ On the return leg, flight AV505 will take off from San Francisco at 01:00 and land in Guatemala City at 08:20 the following morning.

The route was previously operated during the 2026 summer season between June and August, highlighting Avianca’s strategy to capture peak seasonal demand between both markets. The winter resumption provides expanded travel options for leisure, business, and visiting friends and relatives (VFR) passengers traveling between Guatemala and California, while reinforcing Avianca’s regional network using next-generation narrowbody aircraft.
