The main institutional event will be held in June 2027 at the La Muñoza hangars, Iberia‘s maintenance and operations hub. The celebration will also feature a strong Latin American focus, including initiatives at Casa de América and the opening of new Espacio Iberia locations in Buenos Aires, Bogotá, Mexico City, and São Paulo. In Madrid, the Espacio Iberia venue at Calle Alcalá 44 will remain open for a significant portion of the year.
The commemorative program will also include joint activities with the Juan Sebastián de Elcano training ship, which will also celebrate its centenary in 2027, alongside initiatives with the CEOE, FITUR, the Madrid City Council, and an air show at Cuatro Vientos. Furthermore, Iberia is preparing a book and a documentary detailing its history and will launch the Fundación Iberia to expand the social impact of its corporate initiatives.

The Centenary will be accompanied by enhanced passenger experiences. Upgrades include the renewal of long-haul cabins, the progressive rollout of Starlink to provide free high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, and a new culinary offering developed in collaboration with the Royal Academy of Gastronomy (Real Academia de Gastronomía).
Nearly 60,000 current and former employees will participate in the planned activities. Concurrently, Iberia will continue to execute its Flight Plan 2030 (Plan de Vuelo 2030), backed by a 6 billion euro investment to drive profitable and sustainable growth. The carrier projects expanding its long-haul fleet from the current 51 aircraft to approximately 70, while also leveraging Airbus A321XLR jets to expand its international network.
