The renegotiation addresses financial imbalances built up during the pandemic while creating a updated framework for airport development. Aeropuertos Argentina agreed to lower the equilibrium rate of return from 16.45% to 14.30%, setting mandatory investment milestones and extending the main contractual term to February 2049. An additional seven-year extension remains conditional upon meeting infrastructure buildout requirements set by the national government.
The $600 million investment will fund capital improvements across the 35 airports managed by the company in Argentina, focusing on expanding operational capacity, modernizing facilities, and upgrading technology. These projects aim to accommodate increased route demand while meeting international standards established by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).

Aeropuertos Argentina is part of Corporación América Airports, an enterprise listed on the New York Stock Exchange that operates 52 airports across six countries, including Brazil, Ecuador, and Uruguay in Latin America, alongside Italy and Armenia in Europe. In 2025, the group served 86.7 million passengers, a 9.8% increase over the 79 million recorded in 2024. The concessionaire plans to access capital markets to fund the new infrastructure development plan.
