Delta Strengthens California Network with New Flights to Monterey from Los Angeles. The addition of Monterey will provide travelers from the Los Angeles area with direct access to California‘s Central Coast, a region home to key tourist destinations including Carmel-by-the-Sea, the Monterey Peninsula, and Big Sur, known for their scenic landscapes and proximity to the Pacific coast. The launch comes just months ahead of a major golf tournament scheduled for the following summer, enabling Delta to offer an additional flight option to Monterey during a high-demand period for tourism and sports in the area.

In parallel, the carrier will also introduce a new daily nonstop service between Salt Lake City (SLC) and Monterey on December 19, 2026, enhancing access to the destination from another of its primary hubs in the United States. With both route additions, Delta will expand travel choices to Monterey while connecting the city to two major hubs in its network. Operating with Embraer 175 aircraft will allow the airline to align capacity with anticipated demand while offering increased frequencies and flexibility for leisure, corporate, and event travelers across the United States.
