Upon inauguration, the joint carrier will become the sole airline providing nonstop commercial service on both city pairs, linking Seattle directly to Osaka and Tahiti without intermediate technical or transfer stops. Beyond capturing point-to-point originating passenger demand across Washington and the broader region, the routes are strategically scheduled to optimize hub connectivity, allowing travelers originating from numerous domestic destinations across the United States to transfer seamlessly onto transpacific flights through the integrated Alaska-Hawaiian network.
The intercontinental operations will be flown by Hawaiian Airlines utilizing its widebody Airbus A330 passenger aircraft. Onboard the twin-aisle jets, customers will receive the carrier’s traditional island hospitality, multi-cabin service products, and complimentary high-speed, low-latency Starlink broadband Wi-Fi for members of the Atmos Rewards loyalty program through a strategic partnership with telecom carrier T-Mobile.

To mark the introduction of the long-haul services, the airlines initiated a promotional fare campaign for round-trip travel in the main cabin, with introductory pricing starting at $999 USD for Papeete and $1,199 USD for Osaka, available for booking through October 26, 2026. The route launches remain subject to customary bilateral government and regulatory approvals. The double international deployment falls under the group’s overarching Alaska Accelerate roadmap, an initiative designed to scale Seattle as a premier global aviation gateway while maximizing the fleet and commercial synergies of both combined airline organizations.
