The expansion focuses on reinforcing Volaris’ main hubs in Guadalajara and Tijuana, while increasing connectivity from cities such as Puebla, Querétaro, Aguascalientes, and San Luis Potosí. In this context, the airline is developing a more efficient network of short-haul routes, allowing passengers to benefit from flexible and convenient travel options. Additionally, eleven of the new routes will enhance international connectivity, linking Mexico with major U.S. cities including Houston, Los Angeles, Newark, Dallas-Fort Worth, Denver, Orlando, San Antonio, Chicago, Detroit, and Salt Lake City.

From a strategic standpoint, this initiative goes beyond tourism, also supporting business travel and regional integration between Mexico and the United States. Mexican tourism authorities highlighted Volaris as a key partner in strengthening air connectivity and advancing the country’s goal of becoming one of the world’s most visited destinations. Meanwhile, the airline reaffirmed its low-cost, high-value model, offering introductory fares starting at $149 MXN for domestic flights and $84 USD for international routes. Ultimately, Volaris aims to democratize air travel while continuing to expand in a highly competitive global environment.
