The airline will operate three weekly frequencies between Adolfo Suárez Madrid-Barajas Airport and the Salvadoran capital. Flights from Madrid are scheduled to depart on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays at 11:55 p.m., while return services from San Salvador will operate on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays at 12:10 p.m., subject to final airport schedule approval. Through Air Europa’s hub in Madrid, passengers will gain convenient access to an extensive network of destinations across Europe and Africa, enhancing El Salvador’s international connectivity.

The new route will be served by the Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner, an aircraft recognized for its operational efficiency and passenger comfort on long-haul flights. Travelers will also benefit from enhancements introduced under the Air Europa ON program, which includes an upgraded travel experience, new onboard services, and more personalized customer attention.

The launch coincides with El Salvador’s growing tourism sector, which welcomed more than four million international visitors in 2025, driven by its cultural attractions, natural destinations, and continued improvements in infrastructure and security. The expansion is part of Air Europa’s broader growth strategy, which this year has also included the launch of new routes to Oviedo, Seville, Geneva, and Johannesburg, along with seasonal services to Bologna and Tangier.
