As part of the resumption, TAP’s first flight will transport approximately 8.7 tonnes of medical supplies to support humanitarian relief efforts for communities affected by the natural disaster. The shipment is being coordinated with the Portuguese Government and the Ministry of Health, while Portugal’s humanitarian assistance operation is overseen by the Camões Institute. The airline stated that it is making its cargo capacity available to facilitate the transportation of essential relief supplies, contributing to the international response aimed at supporting recovery in the affected areas.

For operational reasons, flights to Valencia will make a technical stop in Pointe-à-Pitre, Guadeloupe, where flight crews will remain during the operation. TAP also confirmed that neither the aircraft nor the crews will stay in Venezuelan territory. The carrier said it will continue to monitor the situation in Venezuela and reaffirmed its commitment to fully restoring its regular services as soon as operational conditions allow, while maintaining the highest standards of safety throughout the recovery process.
