Volaris Reports Strong April 2026 Traffic Results With 84.6% Load Factor. Volaris the ultra-low-cost airline operating across Mexico, the United States, Central America, and South America, reported its preliminary traffic results for April 2026, highlighting resilient travel demand and continued strength in its international operations. During the month, the carrier transported 2.7 million passengers and posted a consolidated load factor of 84.6%, representing an increase of 2.9 percentage points compared to the same period last year.

The airline stated that demand remained strong during the Easter holiday and spring break travel season. Although total capacity measured in ASMs declined 1.9% year-over-year, RPMs increased 1.6% in April. Domestic RPMs in Mexico decreased 2.7% as the company implemented selective capacity reductions, while international RPMs rose 8.9%, supported by stronger cross-border demand. International passenger traffic also showed solid performance, increasing 6.9% compared to April 2025.

Enrique Beltranena, President and CEO of Volaris, said the airline continues prioritizing higher-performing international and transborder markets while maintaining discipline and flexibility in capacity allocation amid elevated global fuel prices. He added that the company remains focused on executing its long-term strategy and adapting to current market conditions. During the first four months of 2026, Volaris carried more than 10.4 million passengers, a 4.1% increase compared to the same period in 2025, reinforcing its position as one of the leading low-cost airlines in the Americas.
