Alaska Airlines Expands California Network with New Routes.Alaska Airlines has announced the launch of four new nonstop routes from Santa Rosa and Long Beach, further strengthening its presence in California. Beginning in November 2026, the airline will launch flights from Santa Rosa to Phoenix, Salt Lake City and Boise, while service between Long Beach and Seattle will resume in September after a decade-long suspension.

The new Santa Rosa routes will be operated with Embraer E175 aircraft and are primarily designed to serve winter travel demand, offering direct access to ski and leisure destinations. Flights to Boise and Salt Lake City will begin on November 1, 2026, operating through April 2027, while Phoenix service will run daily during the same period. With these additions, Alaska Airlines will increase its nonstop destinations from Charles M. Schulz-Sonoma County Airport to 12.

Meanwhile, the Long Beach–Seattle route will return on September 8, 2026, with twice-daily flights operated by Boeing 737 aircraft. With the relaunch of the service, Alaska Airlines will become the only airline connecting Seattle with all five major airports in the Los Angeles Basin. The airline also highlighted its continued investment in onboard connectivity through the expansion of Starlink Wi-Fi across its regional fleet and eventually its mainline fleet throughout 2026, providing complimentary internet access for members of its Atmos Rewards program.
