Boeing Records Strongest Start in Aircraft Orders Since 2014. Boeing posted a strong start to 2026 after recording 284 commercial aircraft orders between January and April, marking the company’s highest order volume for the period since 2014. In April alone, the U.S. manufacturer secured 136 new aircraft orders, reflecting continued global demand from airlines and leasing companies seeking to expand and modernize their fleets. With these new commitments, Boeing’s total commercial aircraft backlog increased to 6,216 airplanes, reinforcing the company’s position as one of the world’s leading aircraft manufacturers.

Alongside the rise in orders, Boeing also increased its delivery pace during the first four months of the year. The company delivered 47 aircraft in April, bringing total deliveries in 2026 to 190 airplanes, nearly 10% higher compared to the same period in 2025. Most of the April deliveries were Boeing 737 MAX aircraft, with 34 units handed over to airlines and leasing companies. Boeing also delivered six 787 Dreamliners, three 777 Freighters and four 767 aircraft, demonstrating strong demand across both passenger and cargo segments of the aviation market.

The results highlight the continued recovery of the global aviation industry and the growing need for more fuel-efficient and modern aircraft as passenger traffic continues to rise worldwide.
