Riyadh Air Chief Executive Officer Tony Douglas described the arrival of the custom-built Dreamliners as a historic moment for both the airline and Saudi aviation. He emphasized that Riyadh Air is not only building a new airline but also creating a new gateway connecting the Kingdom with the world. The deliveries support Saudi Arabia’s aviation strategy, which seeks to attract 150 million visitors and handle 330 million passengers annually by 2030. Riyadh Air’s fleet plan includes up to 72 Boeing 787 Dreamliners that will connect the Kingdom with destinations across Europe, Asia, Africa, and North America.

Stephanie Pope, President and Chief Executive Officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes, said the 787 Dreamliner will provide Riyadh Air with exceptional efficiency, operational flexibility, and a premium passenger experience. The airline plans to serve more than 100 destinations by 2030, initially deploying its 787 fleet on routes to cities such as London, Cairo, and Jeddah, further supporting Saudi Arabia’s ambition to become a leading global aviation and tourism hub.
