Despite the extended suspension, Iberia has kept ticket sales open for flights to Cuba scheduled from July 2027 onwards, the target date to resume direct connections between Spain and Havana provided market and operational conditions improve. This move underscores the carrier’s intention to restore a route that holds historical significance within its Latin American network.

To accommodate impacted travelers, Iberia has expanded its flexible rebooking policies. Passengers with existing tickets can request a full cash refund or an airline travel voucher. Alternatively, customers can rebook their travel without penalty to four alternative destinations in the region: Miami, Panama City, Santo Domingo, or Mexico City.
