Aeromexico Targets Milan with New Direct Route from Mexico City. Aeromexico is preparing a new phase in its international expansion with plans to launch a direct route between Mexico City (MEX) and Milan Malpensa (MXP). Scheduled to begin operations in March 2027 pending government approvals, the new service will enhance air connectivity between Mexico and Italy for both business and leisure travelers.

The route will be operated using the airline’s Boeing 787 Dreamliner fleet. The Mexican flag carrier recently took delivery of its 25th Dreamliner, boosting its widebody capacity to support long-haul international growth. Detailed flight frequencies and schedules for the Mexico City–Milan service will be announced once the necessary regulatory clearances are finalized.

Milan will mark Aeromexico’s second destination in Italy, joining its existing service to Rome Fiumicino (FCO). With this addition, the airline plans to serve seven European destinations across ten routes, cementing its position as a key carrier linking Mexico with Europe.
