LATAM Expands Brazil Operations with 52 Additional Weekly Frequencies for Peak Summer Season. LATAM Airlines is launching a major domestic capacity expansion in Brazil for the 2026/2027 peak summer season. The carrier will increase its weekly domestic frequencies by approximately 13%, growing from 384 weekly operations in January 2026 to 436 flights in January 2027. This surge adds 52 weekly flights to accommodate high leisure travel demand across the country.

Schedule, Key Hubs, and Route Frequencies
- ✈ Operational Window: The capacity boost focuses on 26 domestic routes and will be phased in between December 7 and December 14, 2026, running through February 7, 2027. Operations heavily target primary gateways in São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro, and Brasília.
- ✈ São Paulo/Guarulhos (GRU): Frequencies increase to Aracaju (21 to 29 weekly), Porto Velho (doubling from 7 to 14 weekly), and Vitória da Conquista (14 to 23 weekly), alongside added capacity to Porto Seguro, Campo Grande, Navegantes, Caldas Novas, Salvador, and Florianópolis.
- ✈ São Paulo/Congonhas (CGH): Increased frequencies to Salvador (50 to 61 weekly), Fortaleza, Foz do Iguaçu, Ilhéus, João Pessoa, Maceió, Natal, Recife, and Teresina.
- ✈ Rio de Janeiro & Brasília (BSB): Brasília–Natal increases to 21 weekly flights (up from 14). From Rio de Janeiro/Galeão (GIG), routes to João Pessoa and Manaus scale up from 2 to 7 weekly operations.
- ✈ Seasonal Connections: Non-stop summer routes include Porto Alegre–Salvador, Santos Dumont–Salvador, Santos Dumont–Porto Seguro, Galeão–Florianópolis, Goiânia–Fortaleza, Goiânia–Maceió, and Galeão–Maceió.
Embraer E195-E2 Entry into Service and Network Growth
The summer season marks the introduction of the Embraer E195-E2 into LATAM Brazil’s fleet. Between November 2026 and March 2027, up to 14 E195-E2 aircraft will be progressively integrated across 42 routes. The initial phase adds four new destinations to LATAM’s domestic network: Cabo Frio, Ji-Paraná, Macaé, and Rondonópolis. With these additions, LATAM will serve 67 domestic destinations in Brazil, marking the largest domestic network in the airline’s history in the country.
