Arajet consolida su éxito en Argentina y proyecta una expansión histórica hacia 2027

Arajet Solidifies Strong Argentine Performance and Prepares New Routes to Venezuela for 2027. During recent commercial aviation executive meetings, Manuel Luna, Director of Communications and Corporate Affairs at Arajet, highlighted the airline’s operational performance across the Southern Cone, identifying Argentina as one of the most vital strategic pillars in its Latin American route network. Year-to-date, the Dominican ultra-low-cost carrier (ULCC) has transported over 191,000 passengers connecting the Argentine market with the Dominican Republic, demonstrating strong commercial momentum across both leisure and business travel segments.

Despite broader macroeconomic headwinds and elevated global jet fuel expenditures, the carrier plans to sustain its scheduled flight program while augmenting flight frequencies into Ministro Pistarini International Airport in Ezeiza (EZE) serving Buenos Aires during the peak Southern Hemisphere summer travel season. Operational data reveals that 80% of Argentine passengers choose the Dominican Republic as their final destination, while the remaining 20% utilize the airline’s Caribbean transit hub to connect onward to key destinations in Mexico, the United States, and Central America. In addition, the carrier is finalizing schedules to introduce flight connections to Santiago de los Caballeros through its gateway in Punta Cana.

Across its broader system, the ultra-low-cost airline continues to log operational milestones following its fourth corporate anniversary. Having recently carried 1.8 million passengers, Arajet expects to surpass the two-million-passenger threshold within the current fiscal period, scaling operations toward a target of 3.2 million travelers by 2026. The airline backs this commercial expansion with a modern, uniform fleet of 16 Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft, which currently services 30 destinations across 17 countries throughout the Western Hemisphere.

As part of its ongoing regional connectivity roadmap, Arajet is nearing the completion of formal regulatory proceedings with Venezuelan civil aviation authorities to launch scheduled international flights into Venezuela. Internal airline projections indicate that direct operations will initially connect the Dominican Republic with Caracas and potentially the industrial hub of Valencia, targeting commercial launch dates between March and April 2027, provided bilateral operating permits conclude on schedule. This planned route deployment aligns with the carrier’s broader mission to democratize commercial aviation and broaden affordable point-to-point air travel throughout Latin America.
