Avior Airlines Expands Operations from Barcelona – Venezuela with New Domestic and International Routes. Avior Airlines has expanded its operational schedule from General José Antonio Anzoátegui International Airport in Barcelona, Venezuela, following the temporary suspension of operations at several airports across the country. The airline announced additional domestic and international routes and frequencies to provide passengers with more travel options while maintaining connectivity during the ongoing operational disruption.

On the international network, Avior strengthened service to Bogotá, Medellín, and Curaçao. The Barcelona–Bogotá route now includes additional flights on Wednesdays, Fridays, and Sundays, with extra frequencies from Barcelona beginning July 17 and new return flights from Bogotá scheduled for July 18 and 19. Service to Medellín has also been expanded with flights on Mondays, Wednesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays, while an additional weekly frequency will be introduced from July 17 to further enhance connectivity between Colombia and Venezuela. Starting July 16, the airline will also launch a new Barcelona–Curaçao route operating on Mondays and Wednesdays, with onward connections linking Curaçao and Maracaibo.
Within Venezuela, Avior introduced new travel options between Barcelona and Maracaibo via Barquisimeto and Las Piedras. The service through Las Piedras will begin on July 16, while the Sunday frequency via Barquisimeto is scheduled to start on July 19. In addition, the airline confirmed the launch of flights between Barcelona and El Vigía from July 22, expanding its presence in western Venezuela and improving domestic connectivity.

Through this temporary expansion of its schedule, Avior Airlines aims to respond to the current operational challenges by increasing flight availability for both domestic and international travelers. The carrier said the additional services reinforce its commitment to maintaining air connectivity and providing reliable transportation alternatives while normal operations are gradually restored at the affected airports.
