SKY Launches Daily Lima–Chiclayo Flights to Strengthen Connectivity in Northern Peru. SKY Airline has inaugurated its new daily service between Lima and Chiclayo, adding another destination to its domestic network in Peru as part of its continued expansion strategy. The inaugural flight departed from Jorge Chávez International Airport with a 98% load factor, highlighting the strong demand for the new route.
The airline expects to carry more than 75,000 passengers between July and December 2026, enhancing connectivity between the Peruvian capital and one of the country’s most important cities in the northern region. This new route comes at a strategic time for Chiclayo, which is preparing for a significant increase in visitor arrivals during the second half of the year. In addition to the traditional Independence Day celebrations, the city is expected to welcome thousands of pilgrims and tourists during Pope Leo XIV’s visit to Peru in November.

According to José Raúl Vargas, General Manager of SKY in Peru, the new service reflects the airline’s continued growth in the country and its commitment to expanding its domestic network with destinations that offer strong development potential. With the addition of Chiclayo, Cajamarca, and Talara, SKY will serve a total of 17 domestic destinations in Peru.
The new connection is also expected to support tourism and economic development in the Lambayeque region, known for its archaeological, historical, and culinary attractions.
