American Airlines to resume seasonal Miami–Montevideo service. American Airlines will resume its seasonal service between Miami and Montevideo for the upcoming summer season. The route will restart on December 3, 2026, with daily flights through March 2, 2027. Service will then continue three times a week, on Mondays, Thursdays and Saturdays, through March 28, 2027, strengthening air connectivity between Uruguay and the United States.

The route will be operated with Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner aircraft featuring 234 seats across three cabins: 20 in Business Class, 28 in Premium Economy and 186 in Economy. The schedule is designed to meet summer demand while offering connections to other international destinations through American Airlines’ Miami hub.
- ✈ Flights will depart Miami at 10:55 p.m. and arrive in Montevideo at 10:10 a.m. the following day.
- ✈ While the return service will depart from Carrasco International Airport at 10:30 p.m. and arrive in Miami at 5:45 a.m.

“After nearly three decades of dedicated service to Uruguay, we are delighted to resume our seasonal daily flights to Montevideo during the busiest period of the summer,” said Pascual Álvarez, Managing Director of Operations for South America, Central America and the Caribbean at American Airlines.
Aeropuertos Uruguay highlighted that the return of the route will expand travel options for passengers, support the arrival of international visitors and strengthen Carrasco International Airport’s position as a strategic regional connectivity hub.
