SKY Strengthens Its Position in Peru After Seven Years of Growth. Seven years after entering the Peruvian market, SKY Airline has reached a new stage of operational maturity, supported by sustained growth and strong market consolidation. Since launching operations in 2019, the airline has transported more than 18 million passengers, including 14.5 million on domestic routes and 3.5 million on international services from Peru. This performance highlights the carrier’s rapid expansion and reinforces its role as a key player in enhancing the country’s air connectivity.

This progress is also reflected in the steady increase of its local operations. In April 2019, during its first month of domestic flights, SKY carried around 50,000 passengers; by April 2026, it expects to reach approximately 260,000 passengers, representing more than fivefold growth. As a result, the airline has strengthened its market position, becoming the second-largest operator in Peru since late 2019 and capturing a 17% share of the domestic market in 2025. Moreover, Peru now represents 30% of the group’s total operations, supported by a strong local structure in which nearly 40% of its leadership team is Peruvian.

Looking ahead to 2026, SKY Airline plans to maintain its expansion strategy, projecting passenger growth of over 10% compared to 2025. A key development will be the launch of the Lima–Chiclayo route in July, targeting a high-demand tourism and business market in northern Peru. Internationally, the airline currently operates direct flights from Lima to Miami, Punta Cana, Santiago, Buenos Aires, and São Paulo. This consistent expansion, combined with its low-cost model, has enabled millions of travelers to fly on key domestic routes such as Cusco, Arequipa, and Piura, reinforcing SKY’s commitment to improving connectivity and accessibility across Peru.
