According to documents filed with aviation authorities, the proposed services would operate on the Cartagena (CTG) – Buenos Aires (AEP/EZE) and Cali (CLO) – Buenos Aires (AEP/EZE) routes using Airbus A319, Airbus A320, and Airbus A320neo aircraft. If approved, the new routes would expand Avianca’s presence in Argentina and provide travelers with additional nonstop options between these cities, reducing the need for connecting flights. The initiative would also diversify the range of direct services available from Colombia to the Argentine market.

The introduction of these routes is expected to benefit both tourism and commercial exchange. Cartagena is one of Colombia’s most important leisure destinations and among the country’s most visited cities by international travelers, while Cali stands out as a major business, industrial, and cultural hub. For Buenos Aires, the arrival of new nonstop services would improve access to two strategic Colombian markets. The application also includes third and fourth freedom traffic rights, allowing the direct transportation of passengers and cargo between the two countries. With this proposal, Avianca continues to strengthen its international network and support greater air connectivity across Latin America.
