Aerolíneas Argentinas removes planned Miami flights via Punta Cana. Aerolíneas Argentinas has removed from its schedule the planned flights between Argentina and Miami via Punta Cana that were set to operate during the 2026 mid-year travel season using Boeing 737 MAX 8 aircraft. The canceled services included routes from Córdoba, Rosario, and Tucumán, which had previously been announced as part of the airline’s efforts to expand international connectivity from Argentina’s interior cities to the United States and the Caribbean.

Under the original plan, Aerolíneas Argentinas was scheduled to operate two weekly flights between Córdoba, Punta Cana, and Miami from June 8 through July 29, 2026. Rosario was expected to receive three weekly frequencies between June 9 and August 2, while Tucumán was planned to have two weekly services between June 11 and August 1. However, the flights are no longer available in the airline’s reservation systems, signaling a change in the company’s commercial and operational strategy for the upcoming season.

The cancellation represents a setback for travelers in Argentina’s interior provinces seeking direct access to Miami and Caribbean destinations without connecting through Buenos Aires. Although the airline has not officially explained the reason behind the decision, the move may be linked to demand adjustments, fleet allocation priorities, or broader network restructuring efforts. Despite these changes, Aerolíneas Argentinas continues to maintain an extensive domestic and international network while optimizing capacity and operations across its route system.
