Avelo Airlines Adds Four New Routes from Texas and Bases Third Boeing 737-800. Avelo Airlines has announced the addition of four new non-stop routes from McKinney National Airport (DTX) in Texas, alongside the basing of a third Boeing 737-800 at the airport. With these additions, the carrier will expand its network to nine non-stop destinations from Collin County.

The new services will begin operations in December. On December 16, Avelo Airlines will launch flights to Denver (DEN) and Atlanta (ATL), each operating four times weekly on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The following day, December 17, service to New Orleans (MSY) and Nashville (BNA) will commence with two weekly frequencies on Thursdays and Sundays. Denver will mark the newest destination in Avelo‘s route network from McKinney.
These routes build upon Avelo Airlines‘ inaugural operations at DTX, scheduled for November 11, when the airline begins non-stop service to Las Vegas and four Florida destinations: Fort Lauderdale, Fort Myers, Orlando, and Tampa.

To support this expansion, Avelo Airlines will base a third Next-Generation Boeing 737-800 configured for 184 passengers. According to the airline, the additional aircraft will create approximately 150 jobs and strengthen its operational footprint in North Texas.
