Aeroméxico to Suspend San Luis Potosí–Atlanta Route.Aeroméxico will reduce its international network starting May 1, as it suspends its route between San Luis Potosí and Atlanta in the United States. This decision marks the end of a daily operation linking Ponciano Arriaga International Airport (SLP) with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), one of the most important hubs in North America. In this context, the move reflects the airline’s broader strategy to streamline its network and focus on routes with stronger demand and profitability.

However, the suspension of this service will significantly impact international connectivity from San Luis Potosí. From May onward, passengers will need to rely on connecting flights, potentially increasing travel times and reducing convenience. Nevertheless, such decisions are typically driven by factors such as demand levels, operational costs, and overall route performance. Passengers are advised to check directly with the airline for schedule updates, changes, or refund options, while also considering alternative routes within Aeroméxico’s network.
