EL AL Returns to Buenos Aires with Nonstop Flights. El Al Israel Airlines has announced its return to South America after more than a decade, launching a new nonstop route between Tel Aviv and Buenos Aires. This development represents a major milestone in air connectivity between both regions, particularly given the long-standing absence of direct flights. In this context, the airline plans to operate two weekly frequencies using its modern Boeing 787 Dreamliner, configured with three classes of service: Economy, Premium, and Business. Flight time is expected to be approximately 16.5 hours outbound from Israel and 15.5 hours on the return leg.

Furthermore, ticket sales for the new route are expected to open during the month of May, marking the beginning of its commercial rollout. In addition, the operation will be supported by codeshare agreements with Aerolíneas Argentinas, as well as other strategic partnerships. As a result, passengers will gain access to a broader network of connections from Buenos Aires to multiple destinations across the continent, alongside additional options via European gateways, significantly enhancing regional connectivity.

From a strategic standpoint, this route not only marks EL AL’s return to South America but also strengthens the ties between Israel and the region. Notably, the direct link addresses a long-standing gap by serving Argentina’s Jewish community, the fifth largest in the world and previously the largest without nonstop flights to Israel. Consequently, the new service is expected to boost tourism, business travel, and cultural exchange, while positioning Buenos Aires as a key hub within the airline’s expanding international network.
