The application is being processed under Colombia’s aviation regulatory framework, which requires public disclosure of route requests for review by interested stakeholders. If approved, the new service would further strengthen Medellín’s role as an international gateway while expanding travel options beyond Bogotá. The route is also expected to support tourism, trade, and economic ties between Colombia and Venezuela, reinforcing the recovery and expansion of air connectivity between the neighboring nations.
